2017年10月18日，習(xí)近平總書記在中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨第十九次全國(guó)代表大會(huì)開幕會(huì)上代表十八屆中央委員會(huì)向大會(huì)作了題為《決勝全面建成小康社會(huì)　奪取新時(shí)代中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義偉大勝利》（Secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and strive for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era）的報(bào)告。

習(xí)近平總書記的報(bào)告結(jié)束以后，英語點(diǎn)津根據(jù)官方報(bào)道整理了“報(bào)告中直抵人心的19句話”（雙語版）和“十九大報(bào)告要點(diǎn)摘錄”，第一時(shí)間為愛學(xué)習(xí)的小伙伴們奉上學(xué)英語的好資源。

其實(shí)，十九大報(bào)告并不只有英文版，還有法、俄、西、日、德、阿、葡、老撾8種語言的翻譯版本，而且，這9種外語版本的報(bào)告都是請(qǐng)外籍語言專家譯校的。這是自改革開放以來，中共首次邀請(qǐng)外籍專家參與黨代會(huì)報(bào)告外文版譯校工作。

下面，我們就一起來認(rèn)識(shí)一下這9位外籍語言專家吧。

Olga Migunova of Russia focused intently for days on the report that was eventually presented at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC) by General Secretary Xi Jinping.
俄語專家鳳玲在拿到十九大報(bào)告文稿后，就開始全神貫注地對(duì)報(bào)告深耕細(xì)讀。幾天后，習(xí)近平總書記在十九大開幕會(huì)上作了報(bào)告。

"It was a powerful document and made me feel strong and vigorous," she said.
她說：“這份報(bào)告振奮人心，讓我干勁兒十足?！?/p>

Mustafa Mohamed Ahmed Yahia, 60, from South Sudan, was responsible for the Arabic version of the report.
60歲的阿拉伯文專家葉海亞來自南蘇丹，他負(fù)責(zé)報(bào)告的阿拉伯語版譯校工作。

"Letting us be directly involved in the translation shows the CPC's confidence, openness and transparency," Yahia said.
“十九大邀請(qǐng)我們這些外籍人士參與工作報(bào)告的譯校，是一種高度自信的體現(xiàn)，也是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨毫無隱瞞、公開透明態(tài)度的體現(xiàn)，” 葉海亞說。

To Holly Snape of the United Kingdom, the translation work demonstrated how the country is "really trying hard to communicate with the rest of the world".
對(duì)英文專家桃李來說，這展示出中國(guó)“真的在努力和世界其他國(guó)家交流”。

The translators were among a handful of people who saw the report before it was delivered on Wednesday. They had 10 days to polish and edit the foreign language versions.
在18日開幕會(huì)之前就看到報(bào)告的只有少數(shù)一部分人，而負(fù)責(zé)外文版譯校的外籍專家就在其中。他們有10天時(shí)間對(duì)報(bào)告的外文版進(jìn)行潤(rùn)色修改。

"From first sight, I couldn't take my eyes off it," Migunova said. "It held me spellbound like an enchanting novel. I was totally immersed in it, without having lunch or dinner from 8 in the morning to nearly midnight."
俄語專家鳳玲說：“一看到報(bào)告，我的眼睛就再也挪不開了，就像讀到一本讓人著迷的小說那樣。其他的一切都忘了，我從早上8點(diǎn)一直工作到差不多半夜，都沒吃飯?！?/p>

A student of Chinese for more than 10 years, Migunova has been involved in translating many government reports and CPC documents. "I feel all I had done in the past decades was just preparation for translating this report," she said. "I often feel my Russian is not good enough."
鳳玲在中國(guó)學(xué)習(xí)十多年，多次參與政府報(bào)告和黨政文件的翻譯。她說：“我感覺我過去幾十年做的事都是在為翻譯這份報(bào)告做準(zhǔn)備。我常常覺得自己的俄語還不夠好?！?/p>

Snape, who is in her 30s, described the report as "very powerful and very strong".
英文專家桃李今年三十多歲，她形容這份報(bào)告“非常強(qiáng)有力”。

"Even for a non-Chinese native speaker, I can feel the determination behind the report, and how big the ideas are," she said.
她說：“即使是外國(guó)人，我也能感受到報(bào)告背后的決心以及其中包含的重要思想?！?/p>

Snape found it difficult to convey some Chinese ideas in English - "consultative democracy" being one example. In many parts of the original, there was a tempo, rhythm and real feeling, she said, with many difficult nuances to convey in English.
桃李發(fā)現(xiàn)用英語表述一些中國(guó)的思想有困難，比如“協(xié)商民主”。她說，報(bào)告的很多部分有感情，有節(jié)奏，很有感染力，有很多細(xì)微差別很難用英語表達(dá)出來。

The 32,000-character report charts a new course for the world's second-largest economy. Josep-Oriol Fortuny Carreras said it struck a balance between big ideas and concrete details, which was not easy. The Spanish linguist saw the "determination" and "courage" of the CPC to deal with issues such as corruption and environmental problems.
這份3.2萬字的報(bào)告描繪出中國(guó)的新征程。西班牙語言學(xué)家何力鷗說，報(bào)告體現(xiàn)出宏大理念和具體細(xì)節(jié)之間的平衡，這非常不易。何力鷗看到了中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨面對(duì)腐敗和環(huán)境問題的“決心”和“勇氣”。

Peggy Cantave Fuyet, responsible for the French version of the report, said it was "filled with vigor" and showed the CPC moving forward.
負(fù)責(zé)報(bào)告法語版譯校的專家福佩吉說，報(bào)告“充滿活力”，顯示出“這是一個(gè)想要發(fā)展、想要前進(jìn)的黨”。

For almost every foreign translator, the most impressive idea contained in the report was "socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era".
對(duì)幾乎所有外籍專家來說，報(bào)告中最讓他們印象深刻的就是“中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義新時(shí)代”。

Migunova called it a "historic theory", adding that she was also excited by the CPC vision and action on innovation, corruption, poverty and education.
鳳玲稱之為“具有劃時(shí)代意義的理論”，她還說，中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨的遠(yuǎn)見以及在創(chuàng)新、反腐、扶貧、和教育領(lǐng)域的行動(dòng)振奮人心。

Calling the phrase a "huge innovation idea", Snape said it would be felt for many years to come, both in China and the world.
桃李稱之為“偉大的創(chuàng)新理念”，她認(rèn)為，在未來很多年，這個(gè)理念都會(huì)在中國(guó)和全世界產(chǎn)生影響。

For Fontana Rafael, a Brazilian linguist responsible for the Portuguese version, the CPC's people-centered political philosophy was most impressive.
對(duì)巴西籍葡萄牙語專家拉法埃爾來說，中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨把人民放在第一位的政治理念讓人欽佩。

"The report clearly shows how the Party is always putting the people first," he said.
他說：“人民總是被放在第一位，這一點(diǎn)在報(bào)告中體現(xiàn)得非常明確?！?/p>

Yahia of South Sudan, who read Xi Jinping: The Governance of China before translating the report, said the ideas of a "new era" and "a community with a shared future for mankind" impressed him the most.
葉海亞在譯校報(bào)告前讀過《習(xí)近平談治國(guó)理政》一書，他說自己印象最深刻的是“新時(shí)代”和“人類命運(yùn)共同體”的理念。

German Konrad Hartmut Luening said the Chinese Dream and the steps to realizing it excited him.
德語專家呂寧說，中國(guó)夢(mèng)以及實(shí)現(xiàn)中國(guó)夢(mèng)的部署讓他覺得非常有吸引力。

"Looking to the future, I believe China will achieve the desired objective," he said.
他說：“展望未來，我相信中國(guó)能實(shí)現(xiàn)這些目標(biāo)。”

What struck Cantave Fuyet of France was the two-stage development plan Xi unveiled to make China a "great modern socialist country" by the middle of the 21st century.
讓法語專家福佩吉印象深刻的是習(xí)近平總書記在報(bào)告中提出的兩個(gè)階段發(fā)展規(guī)劃，到本世紀(jì)中葉，要把中國(guó)建設(shè)成一個(gè)“社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化強(qiáng)國(guó)”。

"By then I might be too old. I hope my daughter, who will be in her 40s, will see the realization of the Chinese Dream for me," she said, calling the plan an inspiration to the world.
她說，這個(gè)規(guī)劃是對(duì)世界的激勵(lì)，“到那時(shí)候我年紀(jì)就很大了。我女兒那時(shí)40多歲，我希望她能替我看到中國(guó)夢(mèng)的實(shí)現(xiàn)。”

The CPC, as a long-established ruling party, has the vision and ability to implement long-term policies, unlike many other parties, said Cantave Fuyet, who earned a doctorate from Renmin University in July this year in the adaptation of Marxism to Chinese.
福佩吉說，與很多其他政黨不同，中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨作為長(zhǎng)期執(zhí)政黨，目光長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)，并且有能力實(shí)施長(zhǎng)期政策。福佩吉今年7月在中國(guó)人民大學(xué)獲得馬克思主義中國(guó)化研究方向的博士學(xué)位。

Shuichi Iwasaki was proud to be the first Japanese person to see the report. A runner who finished this year's Beijing Marathon in 3 hours and 20 minutes, Iwasaki said the biggest change he has seen in the past couple of years in China is the improvement in air quality, which shows the CPC can fulfill its plans.
日語專家?guī)r崎秀一為自己成為首個(gè)看到報(bào)告的日本人感到自豪。他參加了今年的北京馬拉松，取得了3小時(shí)20分的成績(jī)。他說，中國(guó)過去幾年來最大的變化之一是空氣質(zhì)量改善了，這表明中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨的計(jì)劃在推進(jìn)。

As the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era, China presents new options for countries that want to speed up development while preserving their independence, Yahia said.
葉海亞說，隨著有中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義事業(yè)進(jìn)入新時(shí)代，中國(guó)為世界上其他希望加快發(fā)展同時(shí)保持獨(dú)立自主的國(guó)家提供了新的選擇。

Keovichith Lamngeun said he would share what he learned from the report with his people, and link it to the national context of Laos.
老撾語專家拉姆恩?喬維吉說，他希望把對(duì)報(bào)告的領(lǐng)悟與老撾人民分享，并將其與老撾的國(guó)情聯(lián)系起來。

Based on the report, he believes the CPC will remain strong for many years to come.
在看過報(bào)告后，他相信中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨在未來都將是強(qiáng)有力的政黨。

For Iwasaki, the report came at a critical point: This year marks the 45th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan relations.
對(duì)巖崎秀一來說，十九大報(bào)告的發(fā)布也恰逢一個(gè)關(guān)鍵節(jié)點(diǎn)：今年是中日邦交正常化45周年。

"I think it contains a lot that Japan can learn from," Iwasaki said. The Japanese translator described Xi as a "very capable" leader with vision.
他說：“我認(rèn)為報(bào)告中的很多內(nèi)容值得日本學(xué)習(xí)?！彼f習(xí)近平總書記是一位“非常有能力”且目光長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人。

Other translators did not hesitate to praise Xi. Yahia said he is a leader with strong abilities, global perspectives and a clear perception of the future.
其他外籍專家也紛紛表達(dá)了對(duì)習(xí)近平總書記的贊賞。葉海亞說，習(xí)近平總書記是一位非常有能力的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人，胸懷全球，洞察未來。

"I respect Xi Jinping and hold him in great esteem. We can see the leader of China has the qualities required by new times," Migunova said.
鳳玲說：“我很尊敬他，也很崇拜他。他有新時(shí)代所需的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)氣質(zhì)。”

Carreras said: "I know all CPC congresses are historic, but this could be the most important. Xi Jinping and the CPC have a very clear idea of what China wants to achieve and how to do it."
何力鷗說：“所有的黨代會(huì)都有歷史意義，但這次會(huì)議可能是最重要的。中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨和習(xí)近平都非常清楚中國(guó)需要什么，應(yīng)該怎么做來實(shí)現(xiàn)目標(biāo)?！?/p>
