自好萊塢影后妮可·基德曼與歌手凱斯·厄本結(jié)婚不久，外界就一直盛傳妮可是奉子成婚，并不斷有狗仔拍到她疑似小腹隆起的照片。日前，妮可的發(fā)言人發(fā)表聲明，說妮可并沒有懷孕，“小腹隆起的照片”純屬捏造。

After a magazine paid ?ê10,500 for a picture supposedly showing her with a
pregnant belly, the star felt it necessary to comment on the situation.
對(duì)于rumor（謠言）我們并不陌生，這里主要談一談與其相關(guān)的動(dòng)詞搭配。
先說“辟謠”，除了和動(dòng)詞deny搭配外，rumor也可做blast的賓語。Blast原指“炸彈爆炸”，后引申為“猛烈攻擊，（希望）破滅”，如：The
candidate leveled a blast at her opponent.（候選人向她的對(duì)手發(fā)出攻擊）；Prospects for peace
have blasted.（和平的前景破滅了。）
“傳播（謠言）”可用動(dòng)詞spread，circulate或broadcast；“捏造”謠言則用動(dòng)詞fabricate。在報(bào)道中，doctor也指“篡改；捏造”，指用技術(shù)手段作假，如：to
doctor the evidence（假造證據(jù)）。
另外，漢語中的“八卦”常用“gossip”（流言，謠傳）來形容。
