“亂槍掃射”——美國弗吉亞州特大校園槍擊案制造了震驚全球的新聞頭條。4月16日，一名23歲的韓國學(xué)生先是在弗吉尼亞理工大學(xué)一幢宿舍樓前槍殺兩人，隨后，他又趕往工程系教學(xué)樓，對著教室里上課的師生亂槍掃射……在連殺32人后，案發(fā)者開槍自斃。

由報道可知，“亂槍掃射”相應(yīng)的英文表達為：shooting rampage?！癛ampage”原指“a course of violent,
frenzied behavior”（失去理智的狂暴行徑），在此，“shooting
rampage”比較貼切地表達了“案發(fā)者暴怒后，不分清紅皂白亂槍射擊的狂暴行為”。
此外，短語“on the rampage”常用來形容“暴跳如雷、狂暴不安、橫行無忌”?？蠢洌篐e went on the rampage after
an argument with his wife.（與妻子爭吵后，他氣得暴跳如雷。）
