THE PRESIDENT: Merry Christmas everybody! One of the best parts of the holiday season is spending time with the special people in your life. And for me, that means getting some help from my best friend for our annual Christmas Weekly Address.

THE FIRST LADY: Celebrating the holidays in the White House over these past eight years has been a true privilege. We secured health insurance for another twenty million Americans, and new protections for folks who already had insurance. We made America more respected around the world, took on the mantle of leadership in the fight to protect this planet for our kids, and much, much more.

25日，奧巴馬還發(fā)了一條推特，配上一張全家人喜氣洋洋的照片，向所有人問候圣誕快樂。

圣誕節(jié)最美好的事情就是，和愛的人在一起的時光。我代表米歇爾、瑪利亞、薩沙，祝所有人圣誕快樂。

這張照片也被用在了白宮官方圣誕卡（official White House holiday card）上。

圣誕前夕，第一夫人還參加了NORAD Tracks Santa（北美空防司令部追蹤圣誕老人）的一個活動，負(fù)責(zé)接聽大家的電話和回復(fù)郵件。

在電話中，米歇爾告訴打電話來的孩子們：Santa was flying over Malta, Sardinia and Hungary. （圣誕老人正飛過馬耳他、撒丁島和匈牙利呢。）
