6月6日是第23個(gè)全國(guó)愛(ài)眼日。4日上午，國(guó)家衛(wèi)生健康委員會(huì)召開(kāi)專題新聞發(fā)布會(huì)，介紹兒童青少年科學(xué)防控近視情況以及剛剛發(fā)布的《近視防治指南》《弱視診治指南》和《斜視診治指南》三部指南。

近年來(lái)，兒童青少年的近視問(wèn)題日益嚴(yán)重且低齡趨勢(shì)明顯，已成為重大社會(huì)公共衛(wèi)生問(wèn)題。今天我們就來(lái)看看和“近視”相關(guān)的表達(dá)。

近視

近視的醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ)是myopia，但是日常生活中人們都不會(huì)說(shuō)，通常大家會(huì)說(shuō)nearsighted / shortsighted。

Tom is nearsighted/shortsighted because he used to play games in darkness whole night long.

湯姆近視是因?yàn)樗^(guò)去經(jīng)常晚上在黑夜里玩一整晚游戲。

遠(yuǎn)視

遠(yuǎn)視的醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ)是hyperopia，但是同樣，人們也不會(huì)這樣說(shuō)，一般會(huì)說(shuō)farsighted/ longsighted。嗯，和近視的單詞其實(shí)是對(duì)應(yīng)的。

Lily's grandpa is farsighted so he needs to hold the newspaper far from eyes.

莉莉的爺爺有遠(yuǎn)視，所以報(bào)紙總要拿得很遠(yuǎn)。

散光

散光的名詞是astigmatism，如果要表達(dá)自己有散光可以說(shuō)：I am astigmatic.

度數(shù)

在中文中，我們會(huì)說(shuō)“我近視200度”、“我散光100度”，于是，當(dāng)我們要用英文來(lái)表達(dá)自己的度數(shù)時(shí)，第一反應(yīng)就是“degree”，然而你這么說(shuō)，也不會(huì)有人聽(tīng)懂...

英文中有兩個(gè)詞是表達(dá)眼睛度數(shù)的：prescription和diopters 　

不同的是，prescription 指的是眼睛的度數(shù)，而diopters則是眼睛度數(shù)的單位，也就是屈光度。　

negative diopters （近視度數(shù)）　

positive diopters（遠(yuǎn)視度數(shù)）　

通常配眼鏡或者問(wèn)別人眼睛度數(shù)的時(shí)候，可以說(shuō)：　

What's your eyeglasses prescription? 　

What is your eyesight? 　

How good is your vision?

如果想回答“我近視/遠(yuǎn)視400度”，可以說(shuō)：　

I am nearsighted/farsighted with 4.0 diopters.

再給大家補(bǔ)充一些相關(guān)知識(shí)：　

眼鏡還有另一種說(shuō)法：spectacles，其實(shí)和glasses是同等用法，只不過(guò)是spectacles這個(gè)單詞比較正式，一般人不會(huì)這么說(shuō)話罷了... 　

隱形眼鏡：contact lenses 　

眼科醫(yī)生：eye doctor/ophthalmologist 　

無(wú)框眼鏡：rimless glasses 　

角膜：cornea 　

瞳孔：pupil 　

眼球：eyeball 　

近視不深、頗深、極深的說(shuō)法：mildly/moderately/ severely shortsighted. 　

眼保健操：eye exercises 　

想去配眼鏡，最直接的表達(dá)就是：get a pair of glasses 　

關(guān)于近視的表達(dá)：　

1. I'll have my sight tested tomorrow. My vision is a little blurry recently. 　

最近看東西有點(diǎn)模糊，我明天去檢查視力?！?/p>

2. He finally realized that he was shortsighted and went to the optician. 　

他終于明白他眼睛近視了，于是去配了眼鏡。

3. You'll go cross-eyed. 　

你會(huì)變斜視眼的。

4. I have high astigmatism, and at night when I look at the stars or streetlamps, the light distorts into a diamond like shape. 　

我散光度數(shù)很高，晚上看星星或路燈的時(shí)候，覺(jué)得燈光看起來(lái)像鉆石的光芒一樣。　

5. I have double-vision. 　

我有復(fù)視。　

6. You may wear a patch over your good eye to help fix your lazy eye. 　

在視力正常的眼睛上帶個(gè)眼罩有利于糾正另一只眼睛的弱視?！?/p>

7. How strong are your glasses? 4 diopters. 　

你近視多少度?四百度。　

8. Her eyesight grew dim with age. 　

她的視力因年歲的增長(zhǎng)而變差了?！?/p>

9. Some people can have their vision restored by a surgical operation. 　

有些人可以通過(guò)外科手術(shù)恢復(fù)視力?！?/p>

10. You're so lucky to have 20/20 vision. 　

你有1.0的視力，真幸運(yùn)。
