新長征

Xi's first stop in Ganzhou City of Jiangxi was JL MAG Rare-Earth Co. Ltd. Visiting the company Monday, he underlined scientific and technological innovation to raise the technological level of exploitation of rare earth, which is strategically important but nonrenewable.
20日中午，習(xí)近平乘機(jī)抵達(dá)贛州，首先考察江西金力永磁科技股份有限公司。他強(qiáng)調(diào)，稀土是重要的戰(zhàn)略資源，也是不可再生資源。要加大科技創(chuàng)新工作力度，不斷提高開發(fā)利用的技術(shù)水平。

Arriving at Yudu County on Monday afternoon, Xi paid tribute to a monument marking the departure of the Long March by the Central Red Army and met families of the Red Army veterans and revolutionary martyrs.
于都是中央紅軍長征集結(jié)出發(fā)地。20日下午，習(xí)近平轉(zhuǎn)乘火車來到于都縣，瞻仰中央紅軍長征出發(fā)紀(jì)念碑，會見了于都縣的紅軍后代、革命烈士家屬代表。

Noting that China is on "a new Long March," he said that the country will depend on firm faith and strong will of the whole Party and all people to overcome major challenges at home and abroad and secure new victories in building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
他強(qiáng)調(diào)，今天，在新長征路上，我們要戰(zhàn)勝來自國內(nèi)外的各種重大風(fēng)險(xiǎn)挑戰(zhàn)，奪取中國特色社會主義新勝利，依然要靠全黨全國人民堅(jiān)定的理想信念和堅(jiān)強(qiáng)的革命意志。

Visiting a local vegetable farm, Xi reiterated the original aspiration of the CPC, which was to fight for the people's wellbeing and national rejuvenation.
在一處蔬菜大棚，他強(qiáng)調(diào)，中國共產(chǎn)黨的初心就是為人民謀幸福、為民族謀復(fù)興。

At Tantou Village in Zishan Township, Xi called on Sun Guanfa, a villager and veteran, at his home. Carefully checking the kitchen, bedroom, backyard and toilet, Xi was pleased with the improvement in housing and hygiene conditions of Sun's family.
隨后，習(xí)近平來到梓山鎮(zhèn)潭頭村，察看村容村貌。在紅軍烈士后代、退伍軍人孫觀發(fā)家，習(xí)近平仔細(xì)察看廚房、臥室、后院和廁所，對他家住房和衛(wèi)生改善狀況表示欣慰。

He demanded every region and department make more efforts to secure decent lives for the people in old revolutionary bases at the decisive stage of poverty alleviation.
他強(qiáng)調(diào)，脫貧攻堅(jiān)已經(jīng)進(jìn)入決勝的關(guān)鍵階段，各地區(qū)各部門要再加把勁，讓老區(qū)人民過上幸福生活。

When he was to leave the village, villagers gathered at the exit to see him off and some of them shed tears.
離開村子時(shí)，鄉(xiāng)親們聚集到村口，紛紛向總書記問好，有的村民激動(dòng)地流下了眼淚。

RISE OF CENTRAL CHINA
中部地區(qū)崛起

At the symposium in Nanchang on promoting the rise of China's central region on Tuesday afternoon, Xi said that the rise of central China is a crucial step toward completing the process of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realizing socialist modernization.
21日下午，習(xí)近平在南昌主持召開推動(dòng)中部地區(qū)崛起工作座談會。他強(qiáng)調(diào)，做好中部地區(qū)崛起工作，對實(shí)現(xiàn)全面建成小康社會奮斗目標(biāo)、開啟我國社會主義現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)新征程具有十分重要的意義。

China must be clear-headed about the long-term and complex nature of both domestic and international unfavorable factors and well-prepared for any difficult circumstances, Xi emphasized, adding that the most important thing for China is to do its job well.
習(xí)近平指出，我們要清醒認(rèn)識國際國內(nèi)各種不利因素的長期性、復(fù)雜性，妥善做好應(yīng)對各種困難局面的準(zhǔn)備。最重要的還是做好我們自己的事情。

He made an eight-point instruction on the development of central China, which consisted of facilitating high-quality growth of the manufacturing industry, enhancing innovation capability in key fields, improving business environment, undertaking the layout and transfer of emerging industries, expanding high-level opening-up, sticking to green development, improving people's livelihood, and optimizing policies and institutions.
習(xí)近平就做好中部地區(qū)崛起工作提出8點(diǎn)意見。一是推動(dòng)制造業(yè)高質(zhì)量發(fā)展，二是提高關(guān)鍵領(lǐng)域自主創(chuàng)新能力，三是優(yōu)化營商環(huán)境，四是積極承接新興產(chǎn)業(yè)布局和轉(zhuǎn)移，五是擴(kuò)大高水平開放，六是堅(jiān)持綠色發(fā)展，七是做好民生領(lǐng)域重點(diǎn)工作，八是完善政策措施和工作機(jī)制。

On Wednesday morning, Xi heard a work report from the Jiangxi provincial authorities and called on them to set an example in speeding up the high-quality development of the old revolutionary bases and vie for the forefront in boosting the rise of the central region.
22日上午，習(xí)近平聽取了江西省委和省政府工作匯報(bào)，希望江西努力在加快革命老區(qū)高質(zhì)量發(fā)展上作示范、在推動(dòng)中部地區(qū)崛起上勇爭先。

Describing Jiangxi as a land full of revolutionary history and memories, Xi called for a deep understanding of the hard-earned establishment of the political power of the CPC, the People's Republic of China and socialism with Chinese characteristics, and demanded greater efforts to carry forward the revolutionary spirit and traditions.
習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)，江西是一片充滿紅色記憶的紅土地。要深刻認(rèn)識紅色政權(quán)來之不易、新中國來之不易、中國特色社會主義來之不易，要把井岡山精神和蘇區(qū)精神繼承和發(fā)揚(yáng)好。
