在英語中，如果想對兩個形成鮮明反差的陳述句進行對比，則應(yīng)使用表示對照關(guān)系的從句。比如，在這類句子的句首和句中可以使用詞組 “although” 或 “even though”。在突出強調(diào)兩件事情的差別非常大時，詞組 “even though” 的語氣要比 “although” 更強。近義詞 “though” 可用于句首、句中或句尾，與其它的連接詞相比，它的正式程度較低。另外，也可以用詞組 “despite” 和 “in spite of” 做對比，兩者意思相同，都表示 “盡管、不論……”，后通常接名詞、動名詞或 “the fact that…”。做八道題，鞏固對照關(guān)系的從句中連接詞的用法。
