中共中央總書(shū)記、國(guó)家主席、中央軍委主席習(xí)近平近日對(duì)川藏鐵路（雅安至林芝段）開(kāi)工建設(shè)作出重要指示指出，要高質(zhì)量推進(jìn)川藏鐵路工程建設(shè)。
President Xi Jinping has called for efforts to advance the construction of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway project with high quality. Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remark in an instruction on the construction of the railway's Ya'an-Nyingchi section.

有“世紀(jì)工程”之稱的川藏鐵路，是一條連接四川省與西藏自治區(qū)的快速鐵路，呈東西走向，是青藏鐵路后的第二條進(jìn)藏“天路”，也是中國(guó)西南地區(qū)的干線鐵路之一。川藏鐵路東起四川省成都市、西至西藏自治區(qū)拉薩市，線路全長(zhǎng)1838公里。
川藏鐵路建設(shè)分為三段，分別是成都至雅安，雅安至林芝，林芝至拉薩。成都至雅安段已于2018年12月28日開(kāi)通運(yùn)營(yíng)，林芝至拉薩段2014年底開(kāi)工，今年9月20日藏木雅魯藏布江雙線特大橋完成鋪軌，預(yù)計(jì)明年建成通車。
此次開(kāi)工的雅安至林芝段位于四川省、西藏自治區(qū)境內(nèi)，新建線路起自既有成都至雅安鐵路雅安站，經(jīng)四川省雅安市、甘孜藏族自治州，西藏自治區(qū)昌都市、林芝市，接入在建拉薩至林芝鐵路林芝站。線路為國(guó)家Ⅰ級(jí)雙線鐵路，設(shè)計(jì)時(shí)速120公里至200公里。新建正線長(zhǎng)度1011公里，全線共設(shè)26座車站。雅安至林芝段鐵路，海拔落差超過(guò)4000米、橋隧比超過(guò)80%、板塊活動(dòng)強(qiáng)烈、山地災(zāi)害強(qiáng)烈、生態(tài)環(huán)境脆弱，是川藏鐵路中施工難度最大的路段。

建設(shè)川藏鐵路是貫徹落實(shí)新時(shí)代黨的治藏方略的一項(xiàng)重大舉措，對(duì)維護(hù)國(guó)家統(tǒng)一、促進(jìn)民族團(tuán)結(jié)、鞏固邊疆穩(wěn)定，對(duì)推動(dòng)西部地區(qū)特別是川藏兩省區(qū)經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展，具有十分重要的意義。
The project is a major measure in facilitating the Party's general plan for governing Tibet in the new era, and plays an important role in safeguarding national unity, promoting ethnic solidarity and consolidating stability in border areas. The project will significantly contribute to the economic and social development of the western region, especially in Sichuan Province and Tibet Autonomous Region.

The geological conditions and the climate along the railway are complex and the environment is fragile, construction of the project will face rarely seen difficulties. We should leverage the advantage of Chinese socialist system in terms of mobilizing all available resources to fulfill major tasks to accomplish this historic task, which is arduous but glorious.
