11月22日，國(guó)家主席習(xí)近平以視頻方式出席并主持中國(guó)－東盟建立對(duì)話(huà)關(guān)系30周年紀(jì)念峰會(huì)。中國(guó)東盟正式宣布建立中國(guó)東盟全面戰(zhàn)略伙伴關(guān)系。習(xí)近平指出，這是雙方關(guān)系史上新的里程碑，將為地區(qū)和世界和平穩(wěn)定、繁榮發(fā)展注入新的動(dòng)力。
China and ASEAN on Nov 22 agreed to elevate their ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership, as President Xi Jinping attended and chaired a special summit to commemorate the 30th anniversary of China-ASEAN dialogue relations via video link. "This is a new milestone in the history of our relations and will inject new impetus into the peace, stability, prosperity and development of our region and the world," Xi said, commenting on the partnership with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

1991年，中國(guó)應(yīng)邀出席在吉隆坡舉行的第24屆東盟外長(zhǎng)會(huì)，正式和東盟建立對(duì)話(huà)關(guān)系。30年來(lái)，雙方不斷拓展在互聯(lián)互通、經(jīng)濟(jì)融合、經(jīng)貿(mào)合作、人文交往等各領(lǐng)域合作的深度與廣度，合作成果碩果累累。雙邊貿(mào)易額從不足80億美元躍升到超過(guò)6800億美元，貿(mào)易規(guī)模擴(kuò)大了85倍。2020年，雙方實(shí)現(xiàn)互為第一大貿(mào)易伙伴的歷史性突破，中國(guó)－東盟關(guān)系已成為亞太區(qū)域合作中最為成功和最具活力的典范。
習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)，30年的寶貴經(jīng)驗(yàn)是中國(guó)和東盟的共同財(cái)富，為雙方發(fā)展全面戰(zhàn)略伙伴關(guān)系奠定了基礎(chǔ)、提供了遵循。我們要倍加珍惜、長(zhǎng)久堅(jiān)持，并在新的實(shí)踐中不斷豐富和發(fā)展。
對(duì)于未來(lái)的中國(guó)東盟關(guān)系，習(xí)近平提出5點(diǎn)建議：第一，共建和平家園。第二，共建安寧家園。第三，共建繁榮家園。第四，共建美麗家園。第五，共建友好家園。

We need to fully harness the role of the RCEP, begin work toward a new round of upgrade of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area at an early date, and enhance the level of trade and investment liberalization and facilitation. We need to expand cooperation in new areas like digital and green economy and build joint demonstration zones for economic innovative development.
