修史立典，存史啟智，以文化人，這是中華民族延續(xù)幾千年的一個(gè)傳統(tǒng)。編纂《復(fù)興文庫》，是黨中央批準(zhǔn)實(shí)施的重大文化工程。在我們黨帶領(lǐng)人民邁上全面建設(shè)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化國家新征程之際，這部典籍的出版，對(duì)于我們堅(jiān)定歷史自信、把握時(shí)代大勢(shì)、走好中國道路，以中國式現(xiàn)代化推進(jìn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興具有十分重要的意義。

中華民族是世界上偉大的民族，為人類文明進(jìn)步作出了不可磨滅的貢獻(xiàn)。近代以后，中華民族遭受了前所未有的劫難。從那時(shí)起，實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興就成為中國人民和中華民族最偉大的夢(mèng)想。無數(shù)仁人志士矢志不渝、上下求索，奔走吶喊、奮起抗?fàn)?。中國共產(chǎn)黨成立后，團(tuán)結(jié)帶領(lǐng)人民前仆后繼，進(jìn)行艱苦卓絕的斗爭，堅(jiān)持馬克思主義指導(dǎo)地位，找到了實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興的正確道路，通過革命、建設(shè)、改革各個(gè)歷史時(shí)期的不懈努力，迎來了從站起來、富起來到強(qiáng)起來的偉大飛躍，譜寫了中華民族發(fā)展進(jìn)程中最為波瀾壯闊的歷史篇章，中華民族偉大復(fù)興展現(xiàn)出前所未有的光明前景。歷史已經(jīng)證明并將繼續(xù)證明，在中國共產(chǎn)黨堅(jiān)強(qiáng)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，堅(jiān)持科學(xué)理論指導(dǎo)和正確道路指引，凝聚億萬人民團(tuán)結(jié)奮斗的磅礴力量，中國人民就能把中國發(fā)展進(jìn)步的命運(yùn)牢牢掌握在自己手中！

在實(shí)現(xiàn)偉大復(fù)興的歷史進(jìn)程中，一代代中華民族的先進(jìn)分子和優(yōu)秀兒女探索、奮斗、犧牲、創(chuàng)造，留下了大量具有重要?dú)v史價(jià)值和時(shí)代意義的珍貴文獻(xiàn)。編纂出版《復(fù)興文庫》大型歷史文獻(xiàn)叢書，就是要通過對(duì)近代以來重要思想文獻(xiàn)的選編，述錄先人的開拓，啟迪來者的奮斗。

歷史是最好的教科書，一切向前走，都不能忘記走過的路；走得再遠(yuǎn)、走到再光輝的未來，也不能忘記走過的過去。當(dāng)前，世界百年未有之大變局加速演進(jìn)，中華民族偉大復(fù)興進(jìn)入關(guān)鍵時(shí)期，我們更需要以史為鑒、察往知來。

我們要在學(xué)好黨史的基礎(chǔ)上，學(xué)好中國近代史，學(xué)好中國歷史，弄清楚我們從哪里來、要到哪里去，弄清楚中國共產(chǎn)黨人是干什么的、已經(jīng)干了什么、還要干什么，弄清楚過去我們?yōu)槭裁茨軌虺晒Α⑽磥碓鯓硬拍芾^續(xù)成功。要堅(jiān)定文化自信、增強(qiáng)文化自覺，傳承革命文化、發(fā)展社會(huì)主義先進(jìn)文化，推動(dòng)中華優(yōu)秀傳統(tǒng)文化創(chuàng)造性轉(zhuǎn)化、創(chuàng)新性發(fā)展，構(gòu)筑中華民族共有精神家園。要萃取歷史精華，推動(dòng)理論創(chuàng)新，更好繁榮中國學(xué)術(shù)、發(fā)展中國理論、傳播中國思想，不斷推進(jìn)馬克思主義中國化時(shí)代化。要堅(jiān)定理想信念，凝聚精神力量，在新時(shí)代更好堅(jiān)持和發(fā)展中國特色社會(huì)主義，為實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興的中國夢(mèng)貢獻(xiàn)我們這一代人的智慧和力量，創(chuàng)造屬于我們這一代人的業(yè)績和榮光。

Forging Ahead on the Journey to National Rejuvenation-Foreword to the Revitalization Library

For thousands of years, the Chinese nation has the tradition to document historical records and compile classic works, so as to draw on the lessons of history and civilize the people through cultural development. It is a major cultural project approved by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee to compile this series of books. As our Party leads the people setting off on the new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects, the publication of this classic is of great significance for us to boost confidence in our history, grasp the trend of the times, follow the Chinese path, and promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese-style modernization.

The Chinese nation is a great nation, and has made indelible contributions to the progress of human civilization. Since the start of modern times, however, the Chinese nation suffered unprecedented disasters. It has become the greatest aspiration of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation ever since to realize the national rejuvenation. Countless noble-minded patriots never changed their minds to seek a way out for the country, and they explored and continued their struggles with strong will. After its founding, the CPC, pressing ahead against all odds, has united and led the Chinese people through arduous struggles. Staying committed to the guidance of Marxism, the Party has found the right path to realizing the national rejuvenation. Through tireless efforts in different historical periods of revolution, socialist construction, reform and opening up, the Chinese nation has achieved the transformation from standing up to growing rich and becoming strong, writing the most magnificent chapter in the development of the Chinese nation. The prospects of the national rejuvenation have never been so bright. What has been achieved has proved and will continue to prove that, under the strong leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people will be able to keep firmly in our own hands the destiny of the country's development and progress as long as we stay committed to the scientific theoretical guide and the right path and rally the strength of all the Chinese people.

In the historical process of realizing the great national rejuvenation, the explorations, struggles, sacrifices and creations by generations of progressives and outstanding descendants of the Chinese nation have left behind a large number of precious documents of historical value and epochal significance. By compiling and publishing the Revitalization Library, which collects documents on important thoughts since the modern times, the pioneering endeavors of our ancestors will be recorded, so as to inspire the Chinese people for future pursuits.

History is the best textbook. We will move forward, but we shall never forget what we have experienced. No matter how far we will have gone towards a bright future, we should not forget the past. As the world is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century and China's journey to its national rejuvenation enters a critical period, it is all the more important for us to draw on the lessons of history, reflect on the past, look to the future and press forward.

Based on the foundation of a sound understanding of the Party's history, we should learn the history of modern China and the history of China, to gain a clear grasp of where we come from and where we are going, get a clear understanding of what we Chinese communists are for, what we have done and what we are going to do, and clearly see why we were successful in the past and how we can continue to succeed in the future. We should bolster confidence in and raise awareness of our own culture, pass on the revolutionary culture, develop the advanced socialist culture, and promote the creative transformation and development of the fine traditional Chinese culture, so as to build a shared spiritual home for the Chinese nation. We need to digest the essence of the history, promote theoretical innovation, and better advance academic studies. We should develop theories of our own, communicate our thoughts and continue to adapt Marxism to the Chinese context and our times. We should be firm in our ideals and convictions, consolidate our inner strengths, and more effectively uphold and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, so that we can contribute our wisdom and efforts to the great national rejuvenation and make achievements and create glories of our own generation.
