位于青島市的靈山島近年來減少碳源，增加碳匯。根據中國質量認證中心的數據，2020年，其二氧化碳排放量達到負1333噸，使其成為中國第一個負碳海島。

Lingshan Island in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao has reduced its carbon emissions and created more carbon sinks in recent years. Its carbon dioxide emissions hit negative 1,333 tonnes in 2020, making it China's first carbon-negative sea island, according to China Quality Certification Center.

位于山東省青島市西海岸新區(qū)的靈山島是我國北方第一高島。從上世紀八十年代開始的退耕還林，到近年來靈山島省級自然保護區(qū)積極開展清潔能源改造，推動居民綠色生產生活，逐漸減少碳源，增加碳匯。2021年，靈山島被認證為“負碳海島”，成為人們度假、康養(yǎng)的好去處。

2020年9月，習近平主席在第七十五屆聯(lián)合國大會一般性辯論上指出，中國將提高國家自主貢獻力度，采取更加有力的政策和措施，二氧化碳排放力爭于2030年前達到峰值，努力爭取2060年前實現(xiàn)碳中和。

黨的二十大報告進一步提出，要推進美麗中國建設，堅持山水林田湖草沙一體化保護和系統(tǒng)治理，統(tǒng)籌產業(yè)結構調整、污染治理、生態(tài)保護、應對氣候變化，協(xié)同推進降碳、減污、擴綠、增長，推進生態(tài)優(yōu)先、節(jié)約集約、綠色低碳發(fā)展。
