網(wǎng)友 “橘子味夏天” 想知道包含動(dòng)詞 “agree(同意)” 的搭配 “agree with、agree on、agree to” 和 “agree about” 之間的區(qū)別。具體來(lái)講,“agree with” 和 “agree about” 都與 “同意某人的觀(guān)點(diǎn)或某個(gè)想法” 有關(guān);“agree on” 強(qiáng)調(diào) “就某個(gè)決定達(dá)成一致”;而 “agree to” 則強(qiáng)調(diào) “接受并將按提議做某事”。本期節(jié)目具體介紹動(dòng)詞 “agree” 后接不同介詞時(shí)的含義和用法。

Hello, this is Question and Answer of the week, I'm Phil.
Jiaying
And I'm Jiaying. 本期節(jié)目的問(wèn)題來(lái)自網(wǎng)友 “橘子味夏天”,問(wèn)題由我來(lái)代讀:
Question
我想問(wèn)一個(gè)有關(guān)辨析的問(wèn)題,因?yàn)檫@真的很難搞懂,那就是包含動(dòng)詞 “agree” 的四個(gè)搭配,它們分別是:“agree with、agree on、agree to” 和 “agree about”。
Phil
A great question – we've got 'agree' and four different prepositions. All of these are about agreement, but changing the preposition changes the kind of object the verb has, and this can be complicated. So, let's look at each phrase in turn, starting with 'agree with'. Now, we often use this with people, don't we?
Jiaying
Yes, we do. 我們都知道動(dòng)詞 “agree” 的意思是 “同意,贊同”。如果我們改變它后面接的介詞,那么將會(huì)相應(yīng)地改變動(dòng)詞后的賓語(yǔ)類(lèi)型。
先來(lái)看 “agree with”。“Agree with someone” 的意思是 “贊同、同意某人的意見(jiàn)或觀(guān)點(diǎn)”,而 “agree with something” 則表示 “贊同一個(gè)想法、一項(xiàng)政策或規(guī)定”。聽(tīng)三個(gè)例句。
Examples
I don't agree with him – he is so wrong about that!
(我不同意他的觀(guān)點(diǎn)。他在那件事情上大錯(cuò)特錯(cuò)?。?nbsp;
You say that English is one of the most important languages to learn, and I agree with that!
(你說(shuō)英語(yǔ)是最值得學(xué)習(xí)的語(yǔ)言之一,我同意這個(gè)觀(guān)點(diǎn)?。?/p>
I definitely agree with the university's plagiarism policy.
(我完全同意大學(xué)的有關(guān)剽竊的規(guī)定。)
Phil
OK, so you can agree with a person or an idea. If we use 'agree about', it means you think the same as someone else in relation to a particular topic.
Jiaying
是的,搭配 “agree with” 和 “agree about” 之間的區(qū)別其實(shí)很微妙。剛剛我們說(shuō)到,如果你 “agree with someone” 或者 “agree with an idea”,意思就是你 “同意某人的觀(guān)點(diǎn)或某個(gè)想法”;而如果你和另一個(gè)人 “agree about something” 或者你 “agree with someone about something”,意思則是你和這個(gè)人 “對(duì)某件事情所見(jiàn)略同”。聽(tīng)兩個(gè)例句。
Examples
We were talking about the best ways to save money, and we agree about everything!
(我們當(dāng)時(shí)在討論省錢(qián)的最佳方法,結(jié)果我們的意見(jiàn)完全統(tǒng)一?。?nbsp;
We'd never met before, but we agree about the best films, we agree about the best music. Basically, we agree about everything!
(我們之前素未謀面,但我們對(duì)什么是最好的電影和音樂(lè)的看法都完全一致。我倆基本在所有事情上的看法都相同?。?nbsp;
Phil
So, 'agree with' and 'agree about' are to do with people and ideas. Now, let's look at 'agree on' – this is often about a decision. When a decision is agreed, you can say that everyone 'agrees on' what to do next.
Jiaying
通常情況下,搭配 “agree on” 的意思是 “(雙方或多方)對(duì)某個(gè)決定達(dá)成共識(shí),商定某事”,后面接名詞。比如:“agree on a plan(就計(jì)劃達(dá)成一致)”、“agree on a deal(達(dá)成一項(xiàng)協(xié)議)”。聽(tīng)下面的三個(gè)例句。
Examples
They talked all night, but they finally agreed on a deal that suited everyone.
(他們談了一整夜,最后終于達(dá)成了一個(gè)所有人都滿(mǎn)意的協(xié)議。)
The future looks difficult, but they agreed on a plan to make it work.
(雖然未來(lái)很難,但他們達(dá)成了一個(gè)使之可行的計(jì)劃。)
We agreed on a new schedule that everyone accepted.
(我們商定了一個(gè)大家都接受的新時(shí)間安排。)
Phil
Related to that is 'agree to' – we use that with a suggestion. If you agree to a suggestion, you accept it and will do what was suggested.
Jiaying
“Agree to” 的意思是 “同意、接受他人的提議”,強(qiáng)調(diào) “愿意協(xié)作并照辦某事”,后面可以接名詞或動(dòng)詞原形。聽(tīng)兩個(gè)例句。
Examples
I agreed to the plan they suggested.
(我同意了他們提出的計(jì)劃。)
I agreed to help her with her work.
(我同意了幫她完成她的工作。)
Phil
All these phrases are about agreement, but the preposition determines what comes afterwards.
Jiaying
希望通過(guò)我們的講解,大家對(duì)包含動(dòng)詞 “agree” 的四個(gè)搭配的用法有了更深的理解。
