近幾日，陳水扁再度成為海內(nèi)外媒體的焦點，成為國際上一切愛好和平主義者聲討的對象。陳繼元旦"講話"拋出緊縮兩岸政策后，一月二十九日又公然拋棄，宣稱將廢除"國統(tǒng)會"和"國統(tǒng)綱領(lǐng)"，走所謂"新憲公投"的"臺獨"絕路。國臺辦新聞發(fā)言人李維一，在2月8日的新聞發(fā)布會上，嚴肅批評陳水扁是海峽兩岸和平穩(wěn)定的"破壞者"和"麻煩制造者"。

句中的peace saboteur就是我們所言的"和平破壞者"。Saboteur，往往指蓄意破壞者，工業(yè)革命時期，由于想怠工而故意搗毀機器的工人就被工廠主稱作saboteur.
提到saboteur，當然得談?wù)勊膭釉~形式sabotage（蓄意搞破壞）, 舉個例子：The Nazis had sabotaged the railway line by blowing up a tunnel（"法西斯"分子炸掉了隧道，破壞了鐵路運輸線）; 當然，若看到動詞詞組sabotage peace，就是"破壞和平"了。同時，sabotage也可做名詞用，指"蓄意從事的破壞活動"。
