Animal rights activists are furious about Nicole Richie wearing fur in public, and have chosen her as one of its Worst Dressed stars for 2006.
People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals said that while Lionel Richie's adopted daughter doesn't look as though she eats lots of meat, she is a voracious wearer of animals.
"This pelt wearing party girl is all animal skin and bones. Nicole's an incredible shrinking woman with the heart to match," the Sun quoted a PETA spokesperson, as saying.
Also on this year's list are famoustwin Ashley Olsen, Desperate HousewifeEva Longoriaand young starChristina Ricci.
"Wearing fur does add 20 pounds. But if Ashley wants tofill outher frame, we suggest using a fork instead," said PETA.
"And you'd think Eva Longoria would be more sympathetic to the plight of rabbits considering the way her character the way shescrews aroundlike one on Wisteria Lane," the group added.
However Richie's "The Simple Life" co-star Paris Hilton has fallen off the list after reportedly denouncing fur. PETA says the heiress ditched her mink coats, fox collars and chinchilla trim after watching a video expose of the fur trade.

動(dòng)物保護(hù)組織“動(dòng)物人道主義協(xié)會(huì)”說(shuō)，歌王萊昂內(nèi)爾·里奇的這個(gè)養(yǎng)女盡管看上去不像很愛(ài)吃肉，但對(duì)動(dòng)物皮毛衣物卻情有獨(dú)鐘。
《太陽(yáng)報(bào)》援引“動(dòng)物人道主義協(xié)會(huì)”一位發(fā)言人的話(huà)說(shuō)：“這個(gè)喜歡穿皮毛衣物的派對(duì)女孩看上去像是動(dòng)物皮毛包著的一堆骨頭。她的良心和她骨瘦如柴的身材完全相稱(chēng)。”
同時(shí)上榜的還有美國(guó)著名的雙胞胎姐妹之一艾什莉·奧爾森、“絕望主婦”艾娃·朗格利婭和新星克里絲蒂娜·里希。
“動(dòng)物人道主義協(xié)會(huì)”說(shuō)：“穿上皮毛大衣的確能讓人看起來(lái)豐滿(mǎn)一些。但如果艾什莉真想讓自己豐滿(mǎn)一點(diǎn)，我們建議她還是多吃。”
“照理說(shuō)，朗格利婭在飾演了那個(gè)“食窩邊草”的絕望主婦（和家里的園丁搞男女關(guān)系）后，應(yīng)該更能理解和同情兔子的窘境，但結(jié)果也沒(méi)有。”
與里奇聯(lián)袂主演電影《簡(jiǎn)單生活》的豪門(mén)女星帕里斯·希爾頓由于公開(kāi)反對(duì)穿皮毛衣物而有幸未被列入榜單?！皠?dòng)物人道主義協(xié)會(huì)”說(shuō)，希爾頓在看了一盤(pán)揭露皮毛貿(mào)易的錄像帶之后，把她的貂皮大衣，狐貍毛領(lǐng)和栗鼠呢大衣統(tǒng)統(tǒng)收了起來(lái)。
