 598戶北京市民入選“奧運人家”

7月11日，北京市旅游局在西城區(qū)舉行了“奧運人家”授牌儀式。奧運期間，全市將有598戶普通市民獲準(zhǔn)接待海外游客，與他們一起共享奧運所帶來的歡樂。奧運會期間全市的598戶不同類型的“奧運人家”，將讓海外游客感受到古老北京的現(xiàn)代時尚的同時，也體驗到北京百姓家庭的溫馨和諧。

598 "Olympic Home-stay Families" were carefully selected from more than 1,100 applicants according to the conditions of their houses and foreign-language skills.
根據(jù)房屋條件及主人的外語技能，1100個申請家庭中有598戶被選中作為“奧運人家”。
All home-stay guests should live in groups, and travel agencies from the United States, Japan, Canada and Chile have shown strong interest in the program。
所以選擇家庭住宿的游客都要集體入住，而美國、日本、加拿大以及智利的旅行社都紛紛對該計劃表現(xiàn)出了極大的興趣。
上述報道中，Olympic Home-stay Families就是“奧運人家”的英文表達(dá)方式， homestay means that the traveler lives with a family rather than in a hotel for at least part of his or her trip，也就是我們常說的“家庭住宿”。住在“奧運人家”的客人叫做home-stay guest，而接待客人的這個家庭就叫做host family。
