美國科羅拉多州立大學(xué)（Colorado State University）為2016屆畢業(yè)生準(zhǔn)備了一份特殊的畢業(yè)禮物。學(xué)校請畢業(yè)生的家長給自家孩子寫了封信，然后讓孩子們自己讀出來。

有些父母在信中談到了為人父母的責(zé)任：

“Dear Heidi, as a parent my role is to provide a launching pad and encourage you to reach for the sky.”
“親愛的Heidi，作為父母，我的責(zé)任是為你提供一個(gè)發(fā)射臺(tái)，然后鼓勵(lì)你邁向天空。”

有些父母對孩子的成長表示自豪：

“You have grown to be a lovely woman, who I am very proud to say is my daughter and friend.”
“你已經(jīng)長成了一個(gè)可愛的女人，我很自豪這個(gè)女人是我的女兒，也是我的朋友?！?/p>

還有父母談到了自己孩子的獨(dú)特之處：

“Your first word was bye, as in goodbye. From day one we recognized that you had a distinct vision, a fierce independence, and a strong will.”
“你會(huì)說的第一個(gè)詞的bye，再見的那個(gè)bye。從那時(shí)起，我們就知道你有獨(dú)特的視野，很強(qiáng)的獨(dú)立性，還有堅(jiān)強(qiáng)的意志?！?/p>

有父母為孩子選擇的人生道路感到高興：

“More than pride, we feel joy — joy for your accomplishment and joy that you have found a path that fulfills you, gives you a sense of purpose, and uses your many gifts.”
“我們感到的不僅是自豪，還為你高興。為你取得的成就高興，也為你找到一條能夠充分發(fā)揮你的才能、讓你有目標(biāo)、有成就感的道路而高興?！?/p>

還有留學(xué)生的父母回顧曾經(jīng)的擔(dān)憂：

"We still remember how the first time you went to the USA all by yourself... we know that you must be scared... and we don't sleep until we know that you are already in your dorm."
“我們現(xiàn)在還記得你第一次孤身一人去美國的情景，我們知道你一定很害怕。直到你安全到達(dá)宿舍，我們才敢睡覺。”

父母時(shí)刻關(guān)心孩子在學(xué)校的狀況：

“And when you told us how sad you were because you had no friends at all at first, it broke our hearts to hear that.”
“你剛到學(xué)校的時(shí)候說你一個(gè)朋友都沒有，很難過的時(shí)候，我們的心都碎了?！?/p>

跟孩子分享正能量：

"In jazz there is no wrong note; it all depends on which note is played next...and that the discordant notes you will play from time to time all resolve in the end."
“在爵士樂中是沒有錯(cuò)誤的音符的，主要看下一個(gè)彈出來的音符是什么。你偶爾彈出來的不和諧音符最終都會(huì)消解的。”
