We should stick to the Party's absolute leadership over the army, maintain a high degree of consistency with the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee in thought, politics and action, safeguard the CPC Central Committee's authority, and submit itself to the direction of the CPC Central Committee and the Central Military Commission.

Military reform

軍級(jí)單位要適應(yīng)一體化聯(lián)合作戰(zhàn)要求，適應(yīng)新體制新編成，銳意改革，開(kāi)拓創(chuàng)新，提高部隊(duì)科技含量，加強(qiáng)實(shí)戰(zhàn)化訓(xùn)練，加快向質(zhì)量效能型和科技密集型轉(zhuǎn)變，打造堅(jiān)不可摧的戰(zhàn)斗集體。
Major improvements should be made in fighting capability to adapt to integrative joint operations and the new military system. Corps-level units should take the initiative in reform and innovation to increase the science and technology content of the military, boost real-combat training, accelerate the upgrading process to make the military more competent, efficient and sci-tech intensive, and build an indestructible combat force.
