Barcelona's famous Sagrada de Familia is finally set to get a building license, 136 years after work on the still uncompleted church began. Construction on the UNESCO World Heritage basilica, which is Barcelona's most visited tourist attraction, began way back in 1882 based on a design by architect Francisco de Paula del Villar y Lozano. However, when he resigned, architect Antoni Gaudi took over the design in 1883. The building won't be finished until 2026 - 100 years after the revered architect was killed by a tram in the city. The unfinished monument is hailed as a masterpiece of Gothic architecture - by most - and it is perhaps the most unique and enigmatic building in the style ever constructed.

Painkillers may help soothe the heartache of a break-up as well as ease a sore head. Scientists say women who take ibuprofen can feel less upset by failed romance. A study showed they experienced less hurt from social rejection or while recalling past betrayal. But the effect did not apply to men. Volunteers joined in a virtual game of "catch" when others stopped throwing a ball to them, or they wrote about a betrayal by someone close. Women on ibuprofen reported less social pain afterwards. University of California researchers believe the drug blunts female sensitivities but disrupts the male urge to suppress emotional pain. Their tests found that patients on paracetamol were less distressed by unpleasant images or reading about other people's suffering.

>Firm monitors sleep patterns

A Tokyo-based wedding planning company recently announced the implementation of a "sleep remuneration system" to encourage its workforce to get more sleep. The company, CRAZY, has teamed up with Airweave, a startup specializing in sleep analysis technology, and will be monitoring its employees' sleep patterns. Workers who install the Sleep Analysis app on their smartphones and share their data with the company are eligible to receive points according to how many hours of sleep they get every night. If they manage to get a minimum of 6 hours of sleep per night, for at least five days a week, they stand to earn hundreds of points that can be converted into yen (100 points = 100 yen) at the cafeterias and cafes in the CRAZY office building. CRAZY hopes that the new reward system will improve the lifestyle habits and overall health of its employees, as well as boost their productivity.

>Seaplane starts water tests
國產(chǎn)兩棲飛機(jī)水上試飛
The world's largest amphibious aircraft, the AG600, carried out its first takeoff and landing on waters in Jingmen, Hubei province on Saturday. Developed and built by the State-owned aircraft giant Aviation Industry Corp of China, the seaplane took off from the Zhanghe Reservoir at 8:51 am and stayed airborne for about 15 minutes. The AG600 made its maiden flight in late December in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, taking off and landing at an airport.
世界最大水陸兩棲飛機(jī)AG600于20日在湖北荊門實(shí)施首次水上起降。這架由國有飛機(jī)巨頭中國航空工業(yè)集團(tuán)有限公司研制的水陸兩棲飛機(jī)當(dāng)日8時(shí)51分在漳河水庫起飛，在空中翱翔了約15分鐘。去年12月底，AG600在廣東珠海某機(jī)場實(shí)施首飛起降。
