中共中央政治局于12月26日至27日召開“不忘初心、牢記使命”專題民主生活會，開展批評和自我批評。會議強(qiáng)調(diào)，中央政治局的同志要帶頭把“不忘初心、牢記使命”作為終身課題，始終保持共產(chǎn)黨人的政治本色和前進(jìn)動力。
A meeting convened by the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee has underlined efforts to always preserve the political character of Chinese Communists and keep forging ahead. The two-day meeting of criticism and self-criticism, which ended Friday, stressed that members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee must take the lead in making "staying true to our founding mission" a lifelong task.

理想信念是共產(chǎn)黨人的政治靈魂，是共產(chǎn)黨人初心的本質(zhì)要求。共產(chǎn)黨人只有樹立了崇高而堅定的理想信念，才能做到不忘初心、牢記使命。要始終把不忘初心、牢記使命作為必修課、常修課，時常叩問和守護(hù)初心，及時修枝剪葉、補(bǔ)鈣壯骨，把牢理想信念“總開關(guān)”，在大是大非面前旗幟鮮明，在風(fēng)浪考驗面前無所畏懼，在各種誘惑面前立場堅定，在關(guān)鍵時刻讓黨信得過、靠得住、能放心。
