中老鐵路于12月3日全線開通運(yùn)營(yíng)。中老鐵路全長(zhǎng)1035公里，連接中國西南部云南省昆明市和老撾首都萬象，是中國“一帶一路”倡議與老撾“變陸鎖國為陸聯(lián)國”戰(zhàn)略對(duì)接的重要項(xiàng)目。
The China-Laos Railway, a landmark project connecting Kunming in southwest China's Yunnan province with the Laotian capital, Vientiane, begins operations on Dec 3. The 1,035-kilometer-long railway is a docking project between the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and Laos' strategy to convert itself from a landlocked country to a land-linked hub.

中老鐵路是與中國鐵路網(wǎng)直接連通的國際鐵路，線路北起中國云南省昆明市，向南經(jīng)中國玉溪、普洱、磨憨邊境口岸，再經(jīng)老撾磨丁邊境口岸，最終到達(dá)老撾首都萬象，線路全長(zhǎng)1035公里。開通運(yùn)營(yíng)后，加上口岸通關(guān)時(shí)間，旅客從昆明至萬象最快約10小時(shí)可達(dá)。
中老鐵路的開通運(yùn)營(yíng)，對(duì)密切中老兩國經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)和人文合作交流，加快建設(shè)中老經(jīng)濟(jì)走廊、構(gòu)建中老命運(yùn)共同體，具有十分重要的意義。此外，作為泛亞鐵路的重要骨干，中老鐵路還將對(duì)中國—東盟自由貿(mào)易區(qū)、大湄公河次區(qū)域經(jīng)濟(jì)合作、共建“一帶一路”，產(chǎn)生積極影響。

The two sides should deepen the alignment of their development strategies and take China's construction of a new development pattern and the formal signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership as an opportunity to steadily propel the construction of the China-Laos Economic Corridor and China-Laos Railway, expand cooperation in various fields such as culture and education, youth and tourism, and strengthen coordination in international and regional affairs. In doing so, the two countries can deliver more solid outcomes in the building of the China-Laos community with a shared future and create greater benefits for the people of both countries.
