The total number of Chinese museums rose by 395 to 6,183 in 2021, 90 percent of them offering free admission, said a senior cultural official Wednesday. Li Qun, vice minister of culture and tourism and head of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, gave the figures while addressing an event held in Central China's Wuhan city to mark International Museum Day via video link.

Chinese museums received a total of 779 million visitors last year, and the exhibitions and training sessions they presented online drew 4.1 billion views, figures showed.

China remained the top source of international satellite navigation patent applications last year, with a total of 98,000 applications, said the white paper issued by the Global Navigation Satellite System and Location Based Service Association of China.

China remains a priority market for companies from the United States, with many of them believing it is vital to stay competitive in this market in order to win globally, the American Chamber of Commerce in China said in a white paper on Tuesday.
中國美國商會5月17日發(fā)布白皮書稱，中國仍然是美國企業(yè)的首選市場，許多美國企業(yè)認(rèn)為，要成為全球贏家，在中國市場保持競爭力至關(guān)重要。

The document, the 24th edition of the American Business in China White Paper, said that AmCham China's member companies stand committed to the Chinese market.

About 83 percent of them report they are not considering relocating manufacturing or sourcing outside of China.

A total of 180 children with acute hepatitis of unknown cause have been reported from 36 U.S. states and territories as of Wednesday, according to the latest update from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
美國疾病控制和預(yù)防中心(CDC)發(fā)布最新公告稱，截至5月18日，全美36個州和領(lǐng)地共報告180例不明原因的兒童急性肝炎病例。

The new number is an increase of 71 cases from May 5.

There have been no reported deaths since February 2022, and the proportion of pediatric patients requiring liver transplants has gone down from 15 percent to 9 percent since May 5, according to the CDC.

Adenovirus has been detected in nearly half of the children and continues to be a strong lead, CDC said.
