The purchasing managers' index for China's manufacturing sector came in at 49.6 in May, up from 47.4 in April, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed Tuesday.
國(guó)家統(tǒng)計(jì)局5月31日消息，5月份，制造業(yè)采購(gòu)經(jīng)理指數(shù)(PMI)為49.6%，比上月上升2.2個(gè)百分點(diǎn)。

A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below 50 reflects contraction.
PMI讀數(shù)以50為枯榮線，處于枯榮線以上表示經(jīng)濟(jì)處于擴(kuò)張階段，枯榮線之下屬于收縮階段。

The PMI for China's non-manufacturing sector came in at 47.8 in May, up from 41.9 in April.
5月份，非制造業(yè)商務(wù)活動(dòng)指數(shù)為47.8%，比上月上升5.9個(gè)百分點(diǎn)。
