China's national college entrance exam for 2022, also known as Gaokao, began on Tuesday. The number of Gaokao takers hit a record high this year. According to the Ministry of Education, in 2022, the number of applicants for the national college entrance exam reached 11.93 million, an increase of 1.15 million over last year.
2022年全國高考6月7日開始舉行。今年高考人數(shù)再創(chuàng)新高，據(jù)教育部公布信息，2022年全國高考報名人數(shù)達(dá)1193萬人，比去年增加115萬。

There are 330,000 general exam rooms across China. Beijing has 1,714 regular and 321 standby exam rooms in 18 exam areas.
今年全國高考設(shè)普通考場33萬個，其中，北京全市共18個考區(qū)，共設(shè)常規(guī)考場1714個、備用考場321個。

Shanghai has postponed the exam to July 7-9 due to the COVID-19 epidemic. And the city’s General Senior Secondary School Academic Proficiency Examination also has been deferred accordingly, and will be held from June 18 to 19.
上海由于此前疫情形勢較為嚴(yán)峻，推遲了高考時間。其中，秋季高考統(tǒng)考延期至7月7日至9日舉行，高中學(xué)業(yè)水平等級性考試延期至6月18日至19日舉行。

>China ascends in global innovation ranking
我國全球創(chuàng)新指數(shù)排名上升至第12位

China ranks 12th in the 2021 edition of the Global Innovation Index report released by the World Intellectual Property Right Organization, moving up 22 spots from 2012, said Wang Gang, the head of China’s Science and Technology Ministry, on Monday. It marks China’s entry among innovative countries in the world, Wang said at a press conference.
6月6日，科技部部長王志剛在發(fā)布會上表示，根據(jù)世界知識產(chǎn)權(quán)組織發(fā)布的《2021年全球創(chuàng)新指數(shù)報告》，中國排名第12位，較2012年提高了22個位次，標(biāo)志著我國已跨入創(chuàng)新型國家行列。

Investment into research and development across society has grown from 1.03 trillion yuan in 2012 to 2.79 trillion yuan in 2021, Wang said.

High-tech enterprises in China increased from 49,000 over a decade ago, to 330,000 in 2021, while research and development investment accounts for 70 percent of total investment among Chinese firms.
全國高新技術(shù)企業(yè)數(shù)量從十多年前的4.9萬家，增加到2021年的33萬家，研發(fā)投入占全國企業(yè)投入的70%。

>7 more industries in for tax benefits
增值稅留抵退稅政策擴圍

China is likely to extend its current value-added tax credit refund policies to seven more industries, including wholesale and retail, agriculture, accommodation and catering, education, social work, entertainment and sports.
中國可能將目前的增值稅留抵退稅政策擴大到批發(fā)和零售、農(nóng)業(yè)、住宿和餐飲、教育、社會工作、娛樂和體育等7個行業(yè)。

The move is expected to increase this year's tax refunds by 142 billion yuan ($21.23 billion) to 1.64 trillion yuan.
預(yù)計新增留抵退稅1420億元，今年出臺的各項留抵退稅政策新增退稅總額達(dá)到約1.64萬億元。

Experts believe the move will bring wide-ranging benefits to market players, and revitalize the country's production and supply chains comprehensively.
專家認(rèn)為，此舉將使市場參與者普遍受益，并全面重振生產(chǎn)和供應(yīng)鏈。

According to the Workplan for the China Youth Football League (CYFL) (2022-2024), jointly released on Wednesday by the Ministry of Education, the State General Administration of Sport (GAS) and the Chinese Football Association (CFA), the youth football league is open to all youth teams nationwide.
根據(jù)教育部、國家體育總局、中國足協(xié)共同研究制定的《中國青少年足球聯(lián)賽賽事組織工作方案（2022-2024年）》，中國青少年足球聯(lián)賽面向的是全體青少年。

"Whoever the team represents, either a public school, a training academy or a professional club, can take part," said Qiao Daihu, a CFA official in charge of organizing the league.
中國足協(xié)男足青訓(xùn)部部長、中國青少年足球聯(lián)賽賽事辦公室執(zhí)行秘書喬岱虎介紹，聯(lián)賽不設(shè)球員、球隊參賽限制，體校代表隊、學(xué)校代表隊、職業(yè)俱樂部青訓(xùn)梯隊、社會青訓(xùn)機構(gòu)等都可參賽。

League matches will be categorized into 18 groups, nine for male and nine for female.
