The China International Import Expo has given companies from Least Developed Countries a premier platform to showcase their products and expand businesses, helping create more local jobs and improve their quality of life, said exhibitors to at the ongoing sixth CIIE.
正在參加第六屆中國(guó)國(guó)際進(jìn)口博覽會(huì)的參展商表示，進(jìn)博會(huì)給最不發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家的企業(yè)提供了一個(gè)展示產(chǎn)品和拓展業(yè)務(wù)的絕佳平臺(tái)，幫助創(chuàng)造更多本地就業(yè)機(jī)會(huì)和提高他們的生活質(zhì)量。

Dada Bangla, a Bangladeshi jute handicraft company launched in 2017 and one of the exhibitors, said it has been well rewarded for participating in the expo since its debut at the first CIIE in 2018.
參展商之一、2017年創(chuàng)立的孟加拉黃麻手工藝品企業(yè)達(dá)達(dá)公司表示，自從2018年第一次參加首屆進(jìn)博會(huì)以來(lái)，收獲就一直很大。

"The CIIE is a big platform and has offered us a lot of opportunities. We are really grateful to the Chinese government for arranging such a unique business platform. It is a very big business platform for the whole world," said Tahera Akter, the company's co-founder.

"Notably, about 95 percent of our workers are women who used to be jobless and without an identity but (that of) a housewife. They are now doing a good job in my company. Their lifestyles have changed and their living standards improved, as they can earn money, buy things and improve their children's education. This is a big achievement, and it would not be possible without the CIIE," Akter, whose company is expanding its presence in Europe, the Middle East and North America, added.

There is a similar story on the African continent. Mpundu Wild Honey, a Chinese-owned company based in Zambia and a five-time CIIE participant, is guiding local bee farmers from the forests into international markets.

The CIIE has continued to make efforts to support firms from LDCs to share opportunities in the Chinese market, with free booths, subsidies for setting up booths and favorable tax policies.

As of March this year, 46 countries were listed as LDCs by the United Nations.
截至今年3月，全球共有46個(gè)國(guó)家被聯(lián)合國(guó)列為最不發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家。

Over the past five editions of the CIIE, companies from 43 LDCs have showcased their products at the expo.
過(guò)去五屆的進(jìn)博會(huì)，已累計(jì)吸引43個(gè)最不發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家的企業(yè)來(lái)進(jìn)博會(huì)展示自己的產(chǎn)品。

At the ongoing sixth CIIE, 16 LDCs joined the Country Exhibition, while firms from 29 LDCs are featuring their products in the Business Exhibition.
正在舉行的第六屆進(jìn)博會(huì)上，國(guó)家展共有16個(gè)最不發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家參展，來(lái)自29個(gè)最不發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家的企業(yè)參與了企業(yè)展。

Iceland has declared a state of emergency, with police officials urging residents to evacuate the coastal town of Grindavík following an intense wave of earthquakes in the southwest of the country linked to a possible volcanic eruption.

Nearly 800 quakes were recorded between midnight and 2 p.m. on Friday, with the shallowest at a depth of 3-3.5 kilometers, according to the Icelandic Meteorological Office.

Magma is a mixture of molten and semi-molten rock found beneath the surface of the Earth that can cause an eruption when it finds its way to the surface, becoming lava.
