China's first all-electric propulsion telecommunication satellite, the APSTAR-6E, officially commenced operational services on July 15 following in-orbit and ground system technical review in Hong Kong, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), the satellite's developer.
據(jù)中國航天科技集團消息，國產(chǎn)首顆全電推通信衛(wèi)星——亞太6E衛(wèi)星7月15日在中國香港圓滿通過了衛(wèi)星在軌技術(shù)驗收評審和地面系統(tǒng)最終技術(shù)驗收評審，標志其完成在軌測試，正式投入運營。

亞太6E衛(wèi)星由中國航天科技集團五院采用東方紅三號E衛(wèi)星平臺研制，是東方紅三號E衛(wèi)星平臺的首發(fā)星。衛(wèi)星配置25個Ku用戶波束和3個Ka信關(guān)站波束，通信容量約30Gbps，在軌壽命15年。
