中共中央總書記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習(xí)近平近日在內(nèi)蒙古考察并指導(dǎo)開展“不忘初心、牢記使命”主題教育時強(qiáng)調(diào)，要牢記初心和使命，貫徹以人民為中心的發(fā)展思想（the people-centered philosophy of development），落實新發(fā)展理念，做好穩(wěn)增長、促改革、調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)、惠民生、防風(fēng)險、保穩(wěn)定各項工作，不斷增強(qiáng)各族群眾的獲得感、幸福感、安全感（enhance people's sense of fulfillment, happiness and security），把祖國北部邊疆這道風(fēng)景線打造得更加亮麗（building the country's northern border areas into a more beautiful place）。

7月15日至16日，習(xí)近平在內(nèi)蒙古自治區(qū)黨委書記李紀(jì)恒、自治區(qū)人民政府主席布小林陪同下，深入社區(qū)、林場、農(nóng)村、高校、機(jī)關(guān)單位，看望慰問各族干部群眾，就經(jīng)濟(jì)社會發(fā)展、生態(tài)文明建設(shè)進(jìn)行考察調(diào)研，實地指導(dǎo)開展“不忘初心、牢記使命”主題教育。

Upon his arrival in the city of Chifeng on Monday morning, Xi visited a neighborhood in Songshan district, where people of different ethnic groups reside. Xi called for more efforts to promote ethnic unity and create a favorable environment where people of various ethnic groups can happily live and work.
15日上午，習(xí)近平從北京飛抵內(nèi)蒙古赤峰市，首先來到松山區(qū)興安街道臨潢家園社區(qū)考察調(diào)研。臨潢家園社區(qū)是一個多民族群眾聚居的社區(qū)。習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)，要深入推進(jìn)民族團(tuán)結(jié)進(jìn)步創(chuàng)建進(jìn)社區(qū)，積極創(chuàng)造各族群眾安居樂業(yè)的良好社區(qū)環(huán)境。

The president applauded Ulan Muqir, a traveling art troupe performing for herdsmen in remote areas, as "down to earth" and "loved by the people," while asking for more support and promotion of literary and artistic activities that serve the people.
習(xí)近平指出，烏蘭牧騎很接地氣，群眾喜聞樂見。要積極支持和推廣直接為基層老百姓服務(wù)的文藝活動。

After watching storytellers perform the "Epic of King Gesar" at a local museum, Xi stressed the protection and inheritance of ethnic culture.
習(xí)近平在赤峰博物館觀看了古典民族史詩《格薩（斯）爾》說唱展示，強(qiáng)調(diào)要重視少數(shù)民族文化保護(hù)和傳承。

He also emphasized the work to help develop an accurate understanding of history, country, ethnicity and culture among the public, so that the people of all ethnic groups can have greater sense of the Chinese national identity and sense of belonging to the motherland, as well as higher recognition of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
要引導(dǎo)人們樹立正確的歷史觀、國家觀、民族觀、文化觀，不斷鞏固各族人民對偉大祖國的認(rèn)同、對中華民族的認(rèn)同、對中國特色社會主義道路的認(rèn)同。

Xi is very concerned about environmental protection in the region. On Monday afternoon, he hiked into a forest zone in Chifeng under the blazing sun.
習(xí)近平對內(nèi)蒙古生態(tài)環(huán)境保護(hù)十分關(guān)心。15日下午，他頂著烈日，沿著崎嶇的護(hù)林小道，走進(jìn)林區(qū)。

Noting that China has made the world's largest contribution to man-made forest coverage, Xi called for adherence to the path of green development that puts ecology first and efforts to build a beautiful China with green mountains and fresh air.
他強(qiáng)調(diào)，中國是世界上最大的人工林貢獻(xiàn)國。要堅定不移走生態(tài)優(yōu)先、綠色發(fā)展之路，努力打造青山常在、綠水長流、空氣常新的美麗中國。

In the village of Ma'anshan, Xi said that the development of industries should focus on increasing the income of villagers. He asked the primary-level Party organizations in rural areas to be strengthened to better serve the rural people and agriculture.
隨后，習(xí)近平乘車前往河南街道馬鞍山村。習(xí)近平指出，要把產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展落到促進(jìn)農(nóng)民增收上來。要建強(qiáng)農(nóng)村基層黨支部，提升鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)和村為農(nóng)民和農(nóng)業(yè)服務(wù)能力。

During his visit to a local villager's home, Xi said huge changes had taken place in the country since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago, fully proving that it is correct for China to follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
在一位村民家中，習(xí)近平指出，新中國成立70年來，我國城鄉(xiāng)面貌發(fā)生了翻天覆地的變化，充分證明我們走中國特色社會主義這條道路是對的。

Xi told local officials that by launching the "staying true to our founding mission" campaign it should be clear that the CPC must always seek happiness for the Chinese people and strive for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
開展“不忘初心、牢記使命”主題教育，歸根結(jié)底就是中國共產(chǎn)黨必須始終為中國人民謀幸福、為中華民族謀復(fù)興。

"Only by doing so can the Party maintain long-term governance, the country enjoy enduring peace and stability and the people live better lives," he said.
只有這樣，我們黨才能長期執(zhí)政，國家才能長治久安，老百姓才能生活更加幸福。

On Tuesday morning, Xi paid a visit to the Inner Mongolia University, his first stop in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
16日上午，習(xí)近平在呼和浩特市考察，首先來到內(nèi)蒙古大學(xué)。

He urged the students to study hard and contribute their wisdom and strength in the future to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
他指出，同學(xué)們要學(xué)好知識，打好基礎(chǔ)，增長才干，將來為中華民族偉大復(fù)興貢獻(xiàn)自己的智慧和力量。

Xi then went to the regional department of natural resources, where he gave instructions on the Party education campaign and asked for a deeper understanding of the Party's original aspiration and mission, an accurate grasp and rectification of problems and assurance that leading cadres play exemplary roles.

Noting uncertainties and challenges from the external environment as well as the arduous tasks at home, he stressed the importance of maintaining sustained and sound economic growth and social stability.

Xi underlined the important strategic status of Inner Mongolia, calling on the region to promote high-quality economic development and adhere to deepening the reform and opening up.
習(xí)近平指出，內(nèi)蒙古戰(zhàn)略地位重要，要推動經(jīng)濟(jì)高質(zhì)量發(fā)展，堅定不移深化改革開放。

He said the region needs to promote the high-quality development of husbandry and the coordinated urban-rural development and give priority to environmental protection and green development.

Xi also required efforts to concretely ensure and improve people's wellbeing and to focus the anti-poverty fight on areas of extreme poverty.

He stressed ethnic unity in the region, calling for efforts to see that people of all ethnic groups rally closely around the Party and make joint efforts in safeguarding the country's border and creating better lives.
習(xí)近平指出，要高舉各民族大團(tuán)結(jié)旗幟，把各族人民緊緊團(tuán)結(jié)在黨的周圍，共同守衛(wèi)祖國邊疆，共同創(chuàng)造美好生活。

During the inspection, Xi also met with senior military officers stationed in the region and extended greetings to all the soldiers there.
考察期間，習(xí)近平在呼和浩特親切接見駐內(nèi)蒙古部隊副師職以上領(lǐng)導(dǎo)干部和團(tuán)級單位主官，代表黨中央和中央軍委向駐內(nèi)蒙古部隊全體官兵致以誠摯問候。
